Shape: flat, stone gray color
Indentification: Characters and decorations engraved on the stone stele deeply and clearly. The arched pediment is decorated with two dragons franking to the sun. The edging is decorated with “Kim Ngân” string flowers. The rectangular body of the stele is engraved with 31 straight lines in ancient Vietnamese. The pedestal is in the shape of tortoise.The tortoise's head is high; Its back has no engraving.
In the year of Đinh Mùi 1727, a Royal Examination was held for Confucians across the nation. The participants numbered up to 3000. Of these, 10 candidates emerged as the winners who were appointed as mandarins with different positions. In 1733, King Lê Thần Tông ordered the stone stele to be erected to record names of 10 winners. The original stone stele has been located in Văn Miếu – Quốc Tử Giám for 300 years.
