Erection time: on 2nd of 3rd Lunar month of 1717 

Size of stele: 187cm in height, 134cm in width, 25cm in thickness 

Shape: Flat, stone gray color

The arched pediment is decorated with beautiful decorations. The big writing under pediment, showing the name of stone in big Seal characters. The text engraved on the body part of stone stele showing the important imformation of examination in ancient characters characters. The edging is decorated. The pedestal is in the shape of subtle tortoise.

Stele records of Doctoral laureates of Bính Thìn royal exam under the reign title of Vĩnh Trị I (1676) was erected on 2nd of 3rd Lunar month of 1717. King Lê Dụ Tông ordered more stone stelae to be erected for examinations which lacked such memorials, and requested competent mandarins to write appropriate inscriptions in order to preserve for future generations.

In the Spring of 3rd Lunar month of the year of Bính Thìn, Duke Trịnh Trượng was assigned as Chief Examiner; the Vice-Minister of Rites Đặng Công Chất and the Vice-Minister of Rites, Viscount Nguyễn Đình Chính were appointed as Supervisors. The examination was also overssen by the concerned mandarins.

Of around 3000 participants, 20 were recognized as excellent, having passed scrupulously-designed tests:1 candidate became 1st-class Tiến sĩ, 3 candidates becam 2nd –class Tiến sĩ, and 16 candidates became 3rd –class Tiến sĩ.
