The pediment of the stele is engraved with the clear and distinct images of two dragons, but they look rigid, and angular, contrasting with the image of the dragon engraved in the same period.
The examination in the year of Đinh Mùi under the reign of 8th Hoằng Định (1607), selected 5 outstanding individuals. As the top candidates was Lưu Đình Chất ranked 2nd class and the position of 3rd class Doctorate were Ngô Nhân Triệt, Lê Thất Dục, Đỗ Khắc Niệm, and Nguyễn Trạm.
Lưu Đình Chất was born in 1566 in Quỳ Chử commune, Hoằng Hóa district (now part of Hoằng Hóa district, Thanh Hóa province). He held official positions Minister of Finance (Title: Tá lý công thần, Tham tụng, Thượng thư Bộ Hộ, Thiếu bảo, tước Lộc Quận công). He was was sent to the Ming Dynasty (China) as an Ambassador. After his death, he was posthumously promoted to the rank of Thiếu Dư.
Ngô Nhân Triệt was from Vọng Nguyệt commune, Yên Phong district (now Yên Phong district, Bắc Ninh province). He was the nephew of Ngô Hải, son of Ngô Trừng, and father of Ngô Nhân Tuấn. He held a position as a mandarin (Title: Tự khanh) and was appointed as Deputy Ambassador (in 1620) to the Ming dynasty (China).
Lê Thất Dục, born in 1570, was from Cổ Đôi village, Nông Cống district (now Nông Cống district, Thanh Hóa province). He served as a Academician (Title:. Hàn lâm Hiệu thảo). Some documents record him as Lê Trất Dục. Đỗ Khắc Niệm was from Đan Nhiễm village, Van Giang district (now part of Văn Giang district, Hung Yen province). He was the younger brother of Đỗ Khắc Kính and held a middle-level official position.
Nguyễn Trạm, born in 1560, was from Cát Bi village, Thượng Phúc district (now Phú Xuyên district, Hà Tây province). He held the position of Deputy Minister (title: Hữu Thị lang, tước Tử).
